In brief: Assetize Financial Services (Jersey) has secured registration from the Jersey Financial Services Commission to carry on trust company business, enabling it to provide regulated administration for tokenised financial products. The move brings regulated trust company services in-house within the Assetize group, alongside its existing technology and issuance platform. Jersey continues to cement its position as a leading jurisdiction for tokenised real-world assets.

What Assetize Will Do

Assetize Financial Services (Jersey), part of the wider Assetize group, has been registered by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) to carry on trust company business, Channel Eye reports. The company will provide corporate and trustee services for tokenisation structures, covering tokenised real-world assets, managed investment strategies and tokenised interests in existing funds.

In practical terms, its services will include company formation, the provision of directors and ongoing administration for Jersey-based issuers of tokenised financial products. The registration brings regulated trust company administration within the Assetize group for the first time, sitting alongside the technology and issuance services the group already provides.

The group reports that more than US$300 million of assets had been issued and serviced through its platform as at October 2026. Andrew Horbury, Founder of Assetize, said: “With a regulated administration business now part of the Assetize group, our clients get the issuance structure, the regulated administration and the technology in one relationship, under a regulator institutional investors already know across both TradFi and digital assets.”

Jersey’s Regulatory Framework for Tokenisation

The registration is significant because, under the JFSC’s guidance on the tokenisation of real-world assets, Jersey issuers are required to be administered by a JFSC-regulated trust company business. That requirement is precisely what gives institutional investors confidence in Jersey-domiciled tokenised products.

Rory Forrest, General Counsel of Assetize, explained the appeal clearly: “Institutional investors want tokenised products that sit inside a legal and regulatory framework they already recognise. Jersey requires every issuer of tokenised real world assets to be administered by a regulated trust company and to obtain JFSC consent to issue, which gives investors real comfort.”

By bringing regulated administration in-house, Assetize can now offer clients a single-relationship solution covering issuance structure, regulated administration and technology, all meeting the JFSC’s standard from the outset. Andrew Horbury added that the group expects to bring a number of new tokenised products to market through Jersey over the coming year.

Jersey’s Growing Dominance in Tokenised Assets

Assetize’s registration is the latest sign of Jersey’s rapidly growing footprint in the global tokenisation market. According to RWA.xyz data published by Jersey Finance, Jersey accounted for 27.4% of the global tokenised equities market by value, equivalent to US$651.4 million, as at 5 September 2026. That is a remarkable share for a small island jurisdiction, and it has not happened by accident.

Jersey has attracted several businesses involved in tokenised financial products, including Kraken and Robinhood, both of which have chosen the island for their tokenised issuers. Andrew Horbury noted that Jersey’s clear regulatory framework has been a decisive factor: “Firms such as Kraken and Robinhood have chosen it for their tokenised issuers,” he said, adding that the JFSC is a regulator institutional investors already recognise across both traditional and digital asset markets.

For Jersey’s finance industry, this matters considerably. The island’s prosperity is built on its ability to attract sophisticated financial services businesses, and tokenisation represents one of the most significant structural shifts in global capital markets in a generation. Jersey’s early-mover advantage, backed by a coherent regulatory framework from the JFSC, is translating into real market share.
