Jersey’s Hand Picked Hotels Raise Over £3,000 for Local Families

Summary: In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the staff at Jersey’s Hand Picked Hotels have banded together to raise a substantial sum for local families in need. Through various fundraising activities, they have managed to collect over £3,000, demonstrating the power of collective effort and the importance of supporting one’s neighbours.

Community Spirit in Action

In the picturesque setting of Jersey, where the sea meets the shore with a gentle caress, the teams at the island’s Hand Picked Hotels have shown that charity begins at home—or in this case, at the hotel. With a series of initiatives that would make even the most hardened cynic crack a smile, these hoteliers have turned their hospitality skills towards a noble cause, raising funds to support local families through the Brighter Futures programme.

The sum of £3,000 might not seem like a king’s ransom, but in the hands of those who know how to stretch a pound, it’s a veritable treasure chest. The funds are earmarked to provide a helping hand to those who find themselves in a tight spot, proving that while Jersey may be known for its finance industry, its heart is as big as its bank accounts.

From Raffles to Bake Sales: The Fundraising Efforts

It wasn’t just a matter of passing around a collection tin and hoping for the best. Oh no, the Hand Picked Hotels’ staff rolled up their sleeves and got creative. From raffles that had guests digging deep into their pockets, to bake sales that would have Mary Berry nodding in approval, the fundraising activities were as varied as they were successful.

One can only imagine the scene: hotel guests, perhaps initially drawn by the allure of luxury accommodation, soon found themselves swept up in a wave of philanthropy. And who could resist the charm offensive of a hotelier offering up delectable treats for a good cause? Not I, dear reader, not I.

The Beneficiary: Brighter Futures

Brighter Futures is an organisation that works tirelessly to support parents, carers, and children in Jersey. They offer programmes and services designed to empower families, providing them with the tools they need to thrive. The funds raised by the Hand Picked Hotels staff will go a long way in bolstering these efforts, ensuring that the charity can continue its vital work.

It’s organisations like Brighter Futures that knit the fabric of a community tighter, creating a safety net for those who might otherwise slip through the cracks. And it’s the support from local businesses like Hand Picked Hotels that reinforces the threads of that net.
