Rock fans in Jersey have something to look forward to this month, as Tom Meighan brings his show, billed as Tom Meighan: The True Voice of Kasabian, to the Watersplash on Saturday 28 November. The Jersey Evening Post reports that Bubblebrain Records is behind the event, and the label is kindly offering two complimentary tickets as a competition prize for JEP readers.
Meighan, who fronted Kasabian during the band’s rise to become one of Britain’s biggest rock acts, will be performing both Kasabian classics and solo material on the night. For anyone who spent the 2000s and 2010s with Club Foot or Fire rattling around their head, this is about as close to the real thing as Jersey is likely to get.
A Full Night Out
The evening promises more than just the headline act. Support comes from The Author, Craig Smith and DJ Pip, while the night will be compered by Watersplash stalwart Mad Mark, described by the JEP as a “Splash legend”. For those concerned about the logistics of a late night out, organisers have arranged exclusive coaches to and from St Helier, which should make the trip to the venue considerably more straightforward.
