In brief: The Channel Islands Christmas Lottery’s bulk-buy offer, giving three free tickets for every 50 purchased, is available by phone or in person, not just online. The lottery kiosk in St Helier has closed as part of the Broad Street pedestrian scheme. The 2026 draw takes place in Guernsey on 17 December.

No Computer? No Problem

If the thought of navigating an online checkout fills you with the same dread as a January tax return, there is good news. Organisers of the Channel Islands Christmas Lottery have confirmed to the Jersey Evening Post that the bulk-buy offer, three free tickets for every 50 purchased, is fully accessible without going anywhere near a website.

Customers can call Fox Trading’s office sales team on 01534 511000 to order tickets for collection from its Rue des Prés showroom, or simply turn up in person without ordering ahead. Both routes qualify for the bulk-buying offer. The one small caveat: payment at the showroom is by card only, so leave the cash at home.

The clarification follows concerns that islanders unable to use the online service would miss out on the deal. Online sales were introduced last year ahead of the lottery’s 50th anniversary, and while free delivery is available for orders placed through the website, the organisers are clearly keen to ensure nobody is left behind.

What Is on Offer This Year

Tickets for the 2026 draw went on sale earlier this month. The minimum top prize stands at £300,000, with that figure set to grow as sales increase. Beyond the headline prize, the lottery offers 65 cash prizes and £500,000 worth of instant-win prizes, which is a fairly compelling reason to buy in bulk.

For those who prefer to pick up tickets the traditional way, they remain available at nearly 80 stores across Jersey, including Morrisons, the Co-op and Alliance. However, the bulk-buying offer does not apply at retail outlets, so if three free tickets for every 50 is the goal, the phone or the showroom is the way to go.

One familiar option has disappeared this year. The lottery kiosk in St Helier has closed as part of the Broad Street pedestrian scheme, so islanders who relied on that particular spot will need to make alternative arrangements.

The Charitable Side of the Draw

The lottery is not purely about the prizes. A spokesperson confirmed that all proceeds from ticket sales in Jersey are distributed to local charities through the Jersey Community Foundation, the Association of Jersey Charities and Jersey Sport, with the lottery having raised millions of pounds for good causes over the years.

The draw itself will take place in Guernsey on Thursday 17 December from 6pm, with winning numbers broadcast live on Channel 103 in Jersey. Further information and syndicate sales are available at www.cilottery.org.
